The Battle of the  Bell o’ Brae

The Battle of the  Bell o’ Brae

Oh  Let us visit Scotland’s past

May her stories ever last

In the minds of honest men,

Who have taken to our streets again

Let us remember  the pincer move

Devised by Wallace, who was so brave,

At Glasgow Cathedral on a summers’ day

To win the battle of the bell o’ Brae.

And as you get to the Wallace Brig

Don’t forget to dance a jig

To celebrate this victory,

In Scotland’s freedom story

Let us remember the pincer move

Devised by Wallace who was so brave

At Glasgow Cathedral on a summers’ day

To win the battle of the bell o’ Brae.

Though Wishart lost in Irvine town

Wallace turned the battle round,

With his men not afraid to tackle,

They proudly conquered Glasgow castle.

So let us remember the pincer move

Devised by Wallace who was so brave

At Glasgow Cathedral on a summers’ day

To win the battle of the bell o’ Brae.
